Here’s how a typical visit with Suds Up Carpet Cleaning runs when you have a Carpet Cleaning Appointment: What to Expect from parking the truck-mount to your final walk-through—so everything is smooth, safe, and spotless.


🔜Before We Arrive: Simple Prep

  • Clear small items & breakables. Pick up toys, lamps, picture frames, etc.

  • Move light furniture if you can. We’ll happily move small pieces (end tables, dining chairs). Large/heavy items (pianos, beds, hutches, electronics) stay in place for safety.

  • Parking & access. We need driveway or curb access within ~100 ft for our truck-mount.

  • Pets & kids. Please keep them comfy in a separate area while hoses are in use.

  • Vacuuming. If it’s been a while, a quick pass helps.

  • We will send a text - when we are on our way.


🕒When We Arrive

  1. Hello & walk-through – We confirm rooms, concerns, stains, and your priorities.

  2. Protection set-up – Corner guards, door stop, and runner mats so we don’t mark walls or track footprints.

  3. Inspection & testing – Fiber ID, spot tests, and UV light scan for pet urine.


💧The Cleaning Process

  • Professional pre-spray. We apply a top-tier, people- and pet-safe solution tailored to your carpet type and soil level.

  • Agitation. A CRB (counter-rotating brush) or grooming tool lifts pile and works in the pre-spray. -when needed

  • Hot-water extraction (steam cleaning). Our truck-mount delivers up to ~220°F for deep rinse and powerful recovery—removing soils, oils, and residues.

  • Specialty spotting. We treat tough spots individually (coffee, filtration lines, pet accidents).

  • Rinse & balance. A fiber-safe rinse helps prevent rapid re-soiling.

  • Grooming. We set the nap for a uniform finish and quicker dry.

  • You will get a text that we have finished the cleaning.


💨Dry Time & Aftercare

  • Typical dry time: 4–8 hours (humidity, airflow, and pile thickness affect timing).

  • Tile and Grout Sealing the floor can not be walked on for 3 hours.

  • Use paths immediately (with care). Wear clean, non-slip socks; avoid street shoes.

  • Airflow helps. Run A/C or heat fan and use ceiling/box fans.

  • Furniture tabs. If we clean around/under legs, we’ll place plastic tabs or blocks—leave them 24–48 hours.

  • Protectant option. Ask about carpet protector to extend results between cleanings.


❓What We Move (and What We Don’t)

  • We move: Light tables, dining chairs, small ottomans.

  • We don’t move: Pianos, large sectionals, waterbeds, heavy dressers, electronics/cords, fragile/heirloom items. We’ll clean to the edge safely.


🐕Pet Urine & Odor Treatment (If Needed)

  • UV inspection identifies affected areas.

  • Subsurface flush with our Water Claw tool helps pull contamination from the pad—not just the surface—then we treat for odor.


Tile, Grout & Upholstery (Same-Day Bundles)

Many clients add tile & grout or upholstery on the same visit to save time. Ask us to include these in your estimate.


Final Walk-Through & Payment

We walk the areas with you, address any questions, and share tailored dry-time tips. Payment is easy (cash/check/card). If anything needs a revisit, we stand behind our work—just text or call.

We will text or email you a receipt after payment has been received.
